Wilma

Wilma passed away on Saturday September 13, 2008.  She had been with me for 15 years!!!  Wilma often went to work with me, and she would always be in the background at the horse shows.  She was the best dog anyone could ask for.

Sam
We lost Sam on Saturday November 8, 2008.  I first met Sam about 10 years when he came to work at Cinderella Carriage Company.  He had come from another carriage company from Indiana, and he thought the big city life of San Diego was exciting.  Sam and I worked every shift together for years.  We worked every Friday night in the Gaslamp Qtr, and he was even with me when I first met my husband.  I knew that I could never quit working at Cinderella and not have him with me.  So in 2000 I purchased Sam.  It was then that Sam really proved to me how valuable he was.  I gave a lot of riding lessons on Sam and he always tolerated every student.  Even in his last few months he was a busy guy...he worked for few weeks in the summer at a kids horse camp, he went to Torrey Pines State Beach so that a young man could propose to his girlfriend at the beach on a horse, and he went to Cuyamaca Horse Camp.  He was a busy guy and will be forever missed.

Tony
The decision to put Tony down was made on July 8, 2009.  He had been a part of my life for over 15 yrs.  He was a 16.3 hand Thoroughbred Gelding and he was the toughest horse I have ever known.  He had been a race horse until the age of 11!!!!  What horse does that???  He then was purchased by my trainer as a lesson horse.  He obviously didn't work out at as a lesson horse but boy could he jump!!!  I can still remember when I was about 14 yrs old tacking him through a grid of jumps and clearing a 4 foot oxer....he had so much heart.  When my trainer moved to New Mexico I ended up taking over the ownership of Tony.  Tony then spent the next few years having some fun riding experiences.  We helped with the opening ceremonies at the Lakeside Rodeo, competed in some Trail Challenges and we even did some parades.  Tony then went on to finally become a great lesson horse.....finally at the age of 22 he was safe enough!!  Whenever Tony went into the Hunter Ring he looked like had read the course before entering....all the lesson kids had to do was stay on and let Tony do his job.  He always got a perfect spot and his lead changes....what a guy.  He finally started to slow down in his late twenties.....even at the age of 32 he was helping me do some kids camps.  THANK YOU TONY FOR BEING A PART OF MY LIFE FOR SO LONG.
